Greenwoods Singel: A Cosy Brunch

If you are looking for a place to have brunch in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and feel like eating an organic or healthy, fresh meal, Greenwoods is the place to go.

Situated at the Singel canal of Amsterdam you are able to enjoy a nutritious yet very delicious breakfast or lunch while appreciating the view of Amsterdam if you sit outside. Of course during the winter times if you choose to sit inside. The place is rather small but cosy, as it imitates the feeling of an English Tea Room.

There is a wide selection of dishes you can choose from on the menu including dishes from Eggs Royale, which are two poached eggs with smoked salmon on toasted English muffin, topped with Hollandaise sauce and garnished with fresh dill to the dishes I ordered today.

Smoked Salmon
Smoked salmon, mixed lettuce leaves and cream cheese with chives. Garnished with cucumber, red onion, capers and dill, served with a side of horseradish sauce and a lemon wedge on homemade soda bread

Club Special
Grilled organic chicken breast with bacon, cheddar cheese, avocado, homemade coleslaw, rucola, mixed lettuce and mayo on homemade soda bread

Both of the dishes were equally delicious. Nevertheless because I’ve been eating so much salmon recently I personally preferred the Club Special more!

Their opening hours are from 9:30 to 18:00 (6pm) on Monday to Thursdays and 9:30 to 19:00 (7pm) on Friday to Sunday.

In case you are not in the area of Singel 103 1012 VG, Amsterdam (which is the location of Greenwoods) there is another location situated at Keizersgracht 465.

I hope you will enjoy the food as as much as I did!
